- Installation Instructions for GFFT
- ------------ ------------ --- ----
-
- In this 2.03 GFFT distribution, I include everything you need, so
- no particular installation should be necessary on most Amiga
- systems. Since this distribution is pretty large, you should move
- it to a drawer on your harddrive (e.g. don't try to run it from RAM
- if you unpacked it there, unless you have lots of RAM). There are
- icons included to access everything important from the workbench.
-
- To try GFFT, just click on the PianoLowC.iff icon, then the OK
- button, and you will see GFFT at work. You can also click on the
- GFFT icon, then use the select button of GFFT to load a sample file
- you would like to analyze.
-
- If you have problems, check out the file INSTALLATION-PROBLEMS.
-
- I recommend that you obtain this whole gnuplot distribution to get
- the documentation on gnuplot and lots of interesting gnuplot demos:
-
- aminet: util/gnu/gnufit12gp35.lha
-
- There are other Amiga versions of GNUPLOT available; the binary I
- have included is the one I recommend using with GFFT. But, if you
- have already installed WinGnuPlot, and insist on using the version
- of gnuplot included in that distribution:
-
- YOU MUST RENAME .gfft-WinGnuPlot TO .gfft !!! This works
- around a bug in WinGnuPlot.
-
- I have not tested the recent aminet: /util/gnu/gnuplot.lha
- distribution, which requires AmigaDOS 3.0 or greater. It might
- have problems similar to WinGnuPlot in cooperating with gfft.
-
- If you are still having problems with gfft or gnuplot, see the
- file named INSTALLATION-PROBLEMS, then the file BUGS.
